Abby never made it past R1 of year one. She was a little butt-hurt and mostly observed the competition from afar. However, she was definitely not prepared for the horrors that unfolded. She decided to come back to BFOI and make up for her ignorant mistake of not helping the others in the disasters of Y1.

Y2 Situation:
Abby is fresh out of the Pokémon Reburst tournament. She was waiting in the Initiative’s registration line when she was warped away by Adamas and Perle . At the end of PKMN-BURST, there was a slight miscalculation in Abby’s returning position. She found herself lost and confused next to a now-empty table. Registration was over, much to her frustration.

Although she clearly remembers the tournament, she soon finds out that her fellow warriors seem to have forgotten.

Bio:
As a young girl, Abby was always interested in Pokémon. However, neither of her parents had experience with the creatures. No matter how many times she asked for one of her own, she was always refused. However, when she was eight years old, her parents allowed her to enroll in Violet City’s local Pokémon School. If she got good grades there, Abby was promised a baby Pokémon.

School was a mixed experience for her. She loved learning about Pokémon overall, but a lot of the other kids already had Pokémon and she felt even more left out than she had before. She studied really hard and tried to keep her mind off of her classmates. However, it didn’t take long for the kids to target her, saying that she didn’t have the skills required for training Pokémon “in her blood.” She was just a “tryhard.” This hurt her deeply and she became quiet and depressed.

After the first semester of school, Abby’s parents noticed her struggles and gave her an egg to take care of. Abby was overjoyed and took the egg with her everywhere. It eventually hatched into a Togepi, which she promptly named Atoré. Her relationship with her classmates quickly improved once she started battling. When she finished her basic training at school, Abby headed off to become an “official” trainer of her own, eager to prove herself.

Personality:
Abby has long overcome her depressed, quiet, elementary self. For the most part, she’s extremely hyper and talkative, sometimes talking so fast she loses her words. She’s very expressive; crazy gestures usually accompany her conversations. She’s also very gullible, often leading to explosive flailing when she figures out that she’s been tricked.

Don’t let her randomness fool you, though. Abby’s a lot smarter than she lets on. Although she’s not the keenest on Pokémon tactics, she’s very intuitive and willing to learn new ways to battle. She’s also very concerned for others, and will be serious when the situation calls for it.

Name: Atoré
Species: Togetic

As mentioned above, Atoré was Abby’s first Pokémon. He’s by far the most intelligent Pokémon on her team and uses telepathy to communicate. He’s very goal-oriented and often times keeps Abby on track. In battle, he uses the element of surprise to keep his opponents on their feet.

Name: Vapor
Species: Vaporeon

Abby found Vapor as a Vaporeon wandering the streets of Goldenrod City. She doesn’t know his history, but for some reason he’s very wary of people. Often times he is found silently watching other trainers with a judging glance. He doesn’t like the stereotype that Vaporeons are elegant and beautiful. Thus, he’s very rough and attack oriented in battle. He wears a Mystic Water gem around his neck.
